Emma became a personal trainer following assisting her husband with rehabilitation after a rugby injury where he broke his neck. This sparked her passion for understanding the human body and how, with the right rehabilitation, it is possible to recover and become stronger.
Emma is studying for a degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation to further develop her knowledge and understanding in this field.
Rehabilitation sessions are for those who require health and fitness support following injury, illness, accident, or surgery. Sessions can take place in the S.E.A.L Fitness studio, online via Zoom, or where necessary in your own home.
What my clients say
I am in marathon training and struggling with what I thought was a knee injury. After a very professional consultation and examination the true cause of my pain was identified and treated as well as follow up exercises and the offer of ongoing support. I honestly can’t thank you enough for the care and attention you gave me and will be back before and after my marathon adventure. Thank you!
Emma has supported us with first aid for several junior teams since 2014. She is now lead first aider for the girls under 16s team. This not only involves her being able to react to any injury or trauma during a game, but to also provide ongoing support to the team with any injuries sustained. We are very lucky to have someone with the knowledge Emma does to be able to ensure the team are fit to play at the high standard that is required of them.
I have never been this fit & healthy, my strength is going up every session with Emma & I can 100% see & feel the difference! Emma is an incredible trainer, I’m pushed to my limits, I ache in places I never knew could ache & I can do exercises now that no way I could do before! Hand on heart, signing up for sessions with Emma was the best decision I’ve ever made & I look forward to every session.
As a cyclist who wants to do well in competition, I first came to see Emma to help improve the imbalance I had in the power output of my legs. After assessment, she established that not only was the split between each side considerably different, but I also had a weak core and lack of hip mobility which was influencing my performance. I now have an almost equal power output, with less than 2% difference between left and right, and a core that I am proud to say is strong. I continue to work with Emma on maintenance to ensure I retain my ability.
It was a great massage, very thorough and I’m feeling some benefit already, looser, and better range of movement.
I love these classes, if anyone is looking for a class where you work hard then this is perfect. Emma is very knowledgeable & is a great coach. For years I’ve been struggling to find something that I love but I’m so pleased I found S.E.A.L Fitness
I have just completed 6 sessions, one a week, with Emma & have loved every minute. Each week brought new challenges & new exercises & I always left feeling tired but fab! I am so pleased with my results, far better than I had hoped for. My confidence has grown & my waist has shrunk.
I can’t explain how much better my shoulders feel! I think what they really needed was that time dedicated to them.
I started Outdoor HIIT with Emma at the beginning of summer, in the cold & wet! Emma was a great motivator pushing us through the dreary weather. Now it has brightened up & my fitness has increased I can really enjoy the different sessions Emma creates. They are inclusive & you work at your own level but always challenging & fun, she has some great concepts – best of all I come away feeling like I have worked hard & Emma has made it fun.
