Sports Massage
Sports massage is a deep form of soft tissue work that is not limited to athletes. Although specific styles of massage are beneficial to athletes at certain times, it is appropriate for anyone who needs remedial or soft tissue work regardless of age, gender, or level of fitness.
It can be a support to physiotherapy, postsurgical rehabilitation, or as a health aid to those with regular aches and pains or reduced mobility.
Massage works with the skin, fascia, muscle and connective tissues through pressure and movement. It softens, lengthens, or stretches the soft tissue, which can lead to greater flexibility and ease of movement. By keeping the tissues more mobile and not allowing them to stiffen up, massage also encourages the exchange of nutrients and waste products, therefore keeping the tissues healthy.
For athletes at any level, including sports massage into your training can improve your performance and keep you injury free.
How to book:
All treatments take place in the S.E.A.L Fitness studio and include a consultation and postural assessment at your first appointment (please allow an additional 20 minutes for this). Please contact Emma to discuss your requirements and to book.
Full Body Massage: £40 (60 mins)
Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage: £30 (40 mins)
Lower Body Massage: £30 (40 mins)
